Hone your skills at Flint Ridge Farm. We recognize the importance of learning from experience and looking to experts to enhance our educational experiences. We offer clinics on a regular basis as well as hold schooling shows for Dressage, Jumper and Combined Training.
We are excited to welcome you to our first schooling show since the November 29th Tornado.
If you’ve been here before, you can see somethings have changed. We no longer have the indoor arena to serve as the dressage warmup, and the space where it was located is currently not suitable for riding. Click here to download ride times.
Warmup and Check In
After you arrive, make sure you check in at the tent in front of the main barn to get your packet, settle up and ask any questions you may have.
The warmup will be in the same pasture you parked in. You will see a flat spot blocked off near the entrance of the pasture, you are also welcome to hack in the rest of the pasture as long as you keep an eye on the time and warmup steward!
Unfortunately, the tornado destroyed a few of our jumps (although we are very fortunate that any survived!!) so we cannot have a separate jumping warmup.
The jumping warmup will be in the 10 minutes prior to the first round of the class. For example, since the 18” classes start at 9:00, riders in those classes will be able to warmup over designated jumps (marked “Warmup”) starting at 8:50. Each rider in the jumping classes has 5 minutes to complete their round, prior to their round they may jump the designated warmup jumps twice before they must begin their round. All of this must be accomplished within the 5 minute time frame.
Please ensure you check in with a ring steward (they will be holding a clipboard) when you get to the warmup and the entrance of the arenas. Since we don’t use bridle numbers for these shows, just give them your name, your horse’s name, and the class you are warming up for/riding in. When you enter the ring, ensure you give the same information to the scribe and jump judge as well.
We are proud to offer a concession trailer on the opposite side of the barn from the dressage arena. Bart makes the best hamburgers, cheeseburgers, brats and hotdogs you will ever have! He keeps snacks and cookies well stocked to make sure you have a good meal to fuel your best rides! Make sure to bring cash with you to grab some food between your rides!
There is an outdoor wash stall behind the main barn (see map). You are welcome to hose your horse off here, just make sure to be careful while rides are going on in the dressage arena.
The rest room is just inside the main barn’s front entrance. It is to the left after the indoor wash stall and closet. You will see a soda machine; the door is right next to it.
Attached is a map of the property with some key areas highlighted so everything is easy to find! If you have any questions, look for Natalie! She will be in a Navy-Blue Polo with White piping and a Brown “Tombstone” Ball Cap. She will likely be near the Check-In tent or jumping arena throughout the day.
Please remember that a helmet is required at all times while mounted regardless of age or discipline.

Please DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS!! Please pass this along to your family and friends coming to watch you as well. There are resident dogs on the property and we’ve all seen the YouTube videos of the dog that gets loose during the show!
